The world stops for the beloved.

The world stops for the beloved.

Since we became a couple on September 9, 2018 (09.09.18), we would always stop and pray together at exactly 9:09PM. No matter what we were doing, even while in the middle of a fight — when it’s 9:09, our world stops and we pray. It is a tradition we lovingly call “Nine Nine.”

By the grace of God and after 2,337 Nine Nines, we stood at the altar and got married in front of our closest friends and family. It was a solemn and intimate ceremony at the Chapel on the Hill, with only 26 witnesses. We knew from the early days of planning that we will have two ceremonies - one in a Church and another in a garden. One of our non-negotiables is that the Church ceremony must be peaceful and solemn. None of the pageantry and brouhaha that understandably come with an occasion as joyous as a wedding.

On the morning of February 2, 2025 (02.02.25), we got our peaceful and solemn wedding. And it was even more beautiful than we hoped it would be.
